A New Name, but the Same Collaborative Imperative

CBSG is excited to announce that we are changing our name from Conservation Breeding Specialist Group to Conservation Planning Specialist Group.

This name change comes on the heels of the Species Survival Commission asking CBSG to lead a new initiative to substantially increase the SSC’s conservation planning effectiveness. Though our name is changing, we remain committed to our mission of saving threatened species by increasing the effectiveness of conservation efforts worldwide.
